Ten Months

We have reached double digits!  Emma Grace is TEN months old!

More than ever, Emma is super active.  She can play by herself for thrity minutes (sometimes more depending on how she is feeling).  She is becoming so much more independent as she feeds herself (most foods), holds her own bottle, sits like a big girl in the bath tub and walks along the ottoman and couch.  Her primary movement is still on the floor scooting, rolling and almost crawling, but I feel like she'll be walking soon - maybe before her first birthday!

It's nothing new that Emma talks all the time, but new syllables are popping up left and right.  She can say "bah bah" and "bye bye" and is actually very close to saying bubble.  She is still saying, "Mama" all the time, but is now calling Josh, "Papa".  It's ironic because my dad always wanted me to call him Papa.  I think she is just really into "P" and "B" sounds, but you never know.  Maybe my dad somehow taught her how to say it.

Emma is wearing 12m clothes and a size 2 shoe.  At her last appointment, she weighed 20 lbs, 5 oz.  She is still toothless, but eating most everything anyways.  Currently, she is a Mama's girl, although she greatly adores the attention of her Daddy.  Emma loves to be around people, especially kids.   As long as she gets her naps in for the day (two, sometimes three), she prefers going out and about.  She definitely craves the attention of others, but only because she is given it so often.  Her grandparents eat her up and her Auntie is crazy about her.  She is one very loved little girl.
