REID all about it:: Zoo FUN

Last year, we toured the zoo in March. We've had to dodge the rain and cold spells MS keeps having, but yesterday we finally got to go. It was one of those perfect not too hot, not cold, made in the shade kind of days and we were LOVING it!

Emma Grace was on her best behavior and repeating everything she heard. She was walking all over the place like the big girl she is. Daddy held her occasionally when we took a big trip across the park or when Em needed a closer look at one of the "mamys" (animals). Her little pronunciations are my absolute favorite! She is saying everything, but still lacking several important letters - and I don't care! They are too cute at this age and growing up too, too fast. I am already constantly wondering where the heck the time has gone! SN: Em kisses with her lips closed now. A real life, "mm" on the lips! For those who don't know, Emma has always kissed with her mouth wide open (as most babies do). So sad to see that stage go, yet loving the new smooch.

After our hour, hour and a half walk through Asia and Africa, my little family and I rode the carrousel and the "woo woo" train. Emma has ridden carrousels plenty, but this was the first time she has ever ridden ON a horse! Well, in this case it was a "gaffe" (giraffe). That seems to be Emma's favorite animal to date. Aunt Maggie bought her a stuffed giraffe this time last year when we toured the zoo. Mags named him Melmen and any giraffe we see Em yells, "Meymen!".

Yesterday was absolutely what we needed and exactly perfect. My little family and I enjoyed sweet, sweet time together and good ole Vitamin D. What more could we ask for?!
