Animal Kingdom has to be one of my favorite parks. It's a different feeling from the moment you walk in the gates. With all the Asian and African influence, it's like you're walking straight into another culture!
For The Reids, today was very much about the characters. I hadn't thought we would seek them out, until I watched Emma at Mickey's Jammin' Jungle Parade. She voluntarily gave every character on foot a high "fie"! It made me proud to see my cautious girl get a little out of her comfort zone and reach out there - literally! She really loves them!
Aside from characters, we watched Nemo the Musical and my personal favorite, Festival of The Lion King. "Memo" combined Nemo and music, two of her favorite things. Emma was entranced, squealing and dancing in her seat. She even cried at the end when Nemo got hurt in the fish net! At The Lion King, Emma was on her feet the entire time shaking that booty. She even drew attention from the dancers! They would walk up to her and tickle her belly or touch her nose. Emma was having a fit! I was having a fit! AND Josh got pulled up on stage! How cool is that?!
SN: Because the park closed early, we arrived back at the hotel in plenty of time for Emma to reach a tiny milestone. Emma in her teeny weeny Minnie polka dot bikini went under water for the first time! Way to go, Em!
