My gosh, it's February. I feel like there is someone behind the curtain holding down the fast forward button on my life. Emma is 17 months old (WHAT?!) and Baby Jackson is HERE!
This past weekend, me and my little family drove down to Florida to visit our new little "nephew". Jackson Malachi was born January 9 at 7 lbs, 1 oz. We could not get down to him quick enough! Not only did I shoot his newborn pictures, but I got the sweetest little moments with him.
That first night, the five of us stayed up while Emma got her beauty rest. She managed the car ride, but was pretty grumpy/confused when we arrived at their house. It was past her bedtime and she was ready for sleep. Against our own body's wishes, we all talked until two sharing baby stories and catching up. Oh how times have changed.
Saturday morning we shared a batch of monkey bread and quite whispers. Unlike the old days where we made plans to see a movie or the sights, we opted for pj's and naps with the babies. When the kids were awake, Emma was pretty sweet to Jackson calling him, "Buhbay" and giving him sweet kisses on the head. She would even share her toys with him! Sorry again for the little people princess and passy thrown your way little man! I was definitely eager to see how she reacted to a small one for all future reference. Looks like she will make a great big sister one day!
Alas, the time flew as quick as it always tends to. It was the most pleasant visit and dear time together. We can't wait for summer to be here so we can come back! We love you guys!
