Today, God gave us a snow day! It is officially, Emma's first snow!
Mama with her earaches and Emma with her runny nose bundled up in layers and braved the outdoors. The snow was not something we wanted to miss! Unfortunately, Daddy had to go to work normal time. We did, however, manage to steal Nana for a little bit!
Emma had a love/hate relationship with the snow. I think probably like we all do. She loved the newness of it. She was aware that having this wet white stuff all over the place made today special. She didn't, however, love how wet it was - wet and COLD!
We went out three different times - about 15 minutes each. Nana Tana taught her how to eat snow. This quickly became her favorite thing to do. She couldn't walk because she had so many pants on. Instead, she would plop herself down and have a true snow cone. It sure beats the heck out of sand!
Once Em stopped asking for "mo" (more), we knew it was time to go in. After the third time out, I knew she had had her fun and we would stay in for good. The snow is melting quickly, but these memories are here to stay!
